The Cost of a Hamburger

If your not familiar with the author Raj Patel, let me introduce you. I read his book "The Value of Nothing" and found it to be very insightful, informative, and understandable for someone with little economics background. If you think purely free market economics doesn't work, you will like him. If you do, you should read/listen/watch something of his. I guess it depends on what we mean when we use the word "work", or perhaps we should ask "for whom?"
